Samsung Eternity vs iPhone 3G

It becomes too tough to compare any mobile phone with Apple iPhone 3G, especially when the latest phone from Apple is into a lot of hype. But still, I think it would be better to compare the iPhone to Samsung Eternity as the latest touch screen based mobile from Samsung is quite popular and is gradually picking up the pace to beat iPhone 3G.

Design:
Speaking of the design, there are very dew phones which can compete with Apple iPhone regarding the design, and Samsung Eternity is one of them. Both the mobiles are brilliantly designed to perfection. iPhone weighs around 4.7 ounces whereas Samsung Eternity weighs less that this at just 3.8 ounces. Size of the Eternity is at 4.3 by 2.2 by 0.5 inches whereas size of iPhone 3G is 4.5 by 2.4 by 0.48 inches. But the main factor comes in with the touch screen LCD of iPhone which could not have been made better. The display and interface of iPhone is better than that of Samsung Eternity.

Features:
Again, in terms of features, no one can deny that iPhone has to be the best. It offers loads of features in it and with the additional iPhone features that can be added; clearly it is no match to other mobiles. IPhone has inbuilt Safari web browser. GPS is of top quality and is powered by Google maps. Another striking feature of iPhone that destroys all its competitors is the music quality which is of the highest level. Presence of high speed Wi-Fi also adds to the value of iPhone and with 3G facilities available, the browsing experience can be as fast as it gets.

Camera:
If there is one thing that Eternity has to achieve supremacy over iPhone, it has to be camera. The camera quality of Eternity is way higher than that of iPhone 3G. Where iPhone has only a modest 2 mega pixel camera, Samsung can proudly boast of the great 3 megapixel camera in its mobile. The features of capturing and different modes makes Eternity stand out as a winner in terms of camera quality and related features.

Apart from the latest buzz and too much of hype, if there is someone who can pose as a threat to the iPhone 3G, it can be Samsung Eternity which is gradually picking up the pace and is soon coming into lime-light. But having said this, Apple iPhone 3G is still the winner and is likely to be so unless someone comes out with better design and features than that of iPhone 3G.

I think the iPhone 3G is great. i was planning to buy it but the AT&T workers told me that you HAVE to purchase a data plan with it so the cheapest plan for me (individual not family) came to $70. i ended up finding the Samsung Eternity. Got it last week and I love it. i also have a memory card but its 4GB and it also came with the adapter :D .

    Sarah- no, it doesn’t.
you can’t save pictures from, say, photobucket, to your phone, either.
which is ridiculous because i was able to do that on a phone that was so old it still said “cingular”.
and on a razr. (i bought into that hype too. :P )

How do the monthly charges compare?

I just would like to say that the data unlimited is only $25 mo. if you have the plus option but you can get an unlimited data plan for $10 mo. which is what I have and it is for unlimited internet use. Also, your bill is only as high as what you decide to download, add, etc. With that said I have the eternity and absolutely love it! It doesn’t have a glass screen like the IPhone so I am less likely to break it:) I am not a businessperson so I do not need as many apps as the IPhone has, but I still get my e-mail through my eternity, which is all that I need. Either way it just depends on the person who is using it, what they need it for, and what they like better. I personally love my Eternity and think it is a very well made phone.

Love the Eternity. The iphone package does have free apps but for the savings on the media package, i’ll take the eternity all day. Plus it does everything i need.

does anyone know anything about the T-mobile My-Touch-Phone? I tried getting the samsung eternity but my credit couldn’t let me sign-up a plan with AT&T so anyone familiar with the T-mobile phones should enlighten me a little bit please.
